Flexivity Crutch Grips - X-Large

Flexivity Crutch Grips are the most effective and comfortable solution for relieving hand pain caused by standard forearm crutches.

Specifically designed for standard forearm crutches, Flexivity includes the following features:

A plush latex-free Neoprene outer cover – that is very soft to the touch;
A super soft gel insert – acts as a shock absorber, reducing impact injury to your hands and helping to prevent painful blisters, calluses and pressure sores;
Hook & loop (Velcro) side straps – that secure the grip to your crutch and adjust to fit different shaped handles;
Hook & loop (Velcro) end straps – that prevent the grip from accidentally detaching from your crutch while in use, and
Flexivity Grips are very easy to install – installation instruction sheet included.
Can be hand washed at 30°C.

Flexivity Crutch Grips - X-Large features:

Extra thick super soft gel cushion; suitable for people with larger hands ( we would recommend Flexivity Standard size for people with small hands).
Warning - X-Large is only suitable for people with large hands. Not suitable for people with small hands!
Cushion area measures 110mm (11cm) in length, suitable for Standard Forearm crutches.
Not suitable for some anatomical handles (see images).
Not suitable for Invacare crutch model 8153-A.
Sold in pairs. Crutches not included.

Excellent product but if you have small hands these may make the handles to bulky to grip. Luckily my son has hands the size of shovels, and he has not moaned about painful hands since. These are an absolute must. My son has been unfortunate to have sustained a long term knee injury needing crutches to mobilise. At first he had really sore hands with blisters whilst using crutches. Fantastic would definitely recommend, the only drawback is the grips make the crutch handles bigger so if you have small hands you can struggle a little, otherwise a must if you are needing crutches for like myself 12 weeks or more. I have to recommend these crutch grips.. I can't really fault them, they do exactly what you need them to do.. which is to give you comfort when placing pressure down through youre hands when using crutches.. Well worth the money I paid for them.. As I was on crutches for 8 weeks.. it saved my hands no end of grief.

I have been suffering with sore hands with thickened skin all up the sides of my hands with the handles of my NHS crutches. Until I found these grips I recently had been applying foam pipe covering bound over with microfibres clothes and elastic bands to help protect my hands . However this did lot look particularly attractive. I have looking for something to go over the handles of my crutches for ages. I never thought before to look on Amazon for mobility aids . After viewing all the different types of handle covers I selected these because of the good reviews . I measured the depth of my handles and ordered the large siize for my crutches. The grips arrived promptly and were easy to put on because they have Velcro straps at each end of the jelly type padding of the grip . They always look smart on the handles and because they are black don't show any marks . An occasional wipe over with an antibacterial hand wash on the handles and grips of the crutch would ensure they were nice and clean at all times . It does say you can wipe the grips over . Although I would use a black coloured cloth as you would have to be careful that the fibres of a white cloth might stick to Velcro and make it look messy. They are an excellent buy and do what they say they will do - that is protect your hands . It's a shame they weren't able to make these a little cheaper as I am sure lots of people with crutches would buy these but might be put off by the price. I bought these as I decided it was worth the investment to protect my hands and they certainly do that . (Posted on 12/24/2014)

Good points. My son says the Gell is good and moulds to your hands. They are comfortable. No bad points. I looked at the build quality of these and was impressed by the design and quality. The gel grip relieves the pressure on the palm of your hand when you are using crutches non weight bearing.I ordered size large for an adult NHS crutch and it fits perfectly. Bought these in preparation for my next stint non weight bearing, I had previously used the Oarsome version, they worked well but didn't seem to last and in the end kept sliding of the crutches, So i had a look around and saw these, i liked the fact that they attach to your crutches therefore not sliding off like the others, I am now using these non weight bearing, they take a massive amount of the pain of the hands, the gel pads work very well, I have found by using a pair of weight lifting gloves as well, the pain is virtually nil. I had the basic NHS crutches for a week and a half before my hands started to hurt, looked around for grips and decided to get these ones. Ordered them yesterday and received them this morning!! Easy to fit and feel great. I thing the NHS should either supply these with thier crutches or you should be able to buy them in hospital shops. *NB* I went for the larger ones (FC110) as wasnt sure if the others were going to be big enough. I am on crutches due to a dislocated knee.
The standard NHS crutches that I have been using have thick plastic handles that induce blisters on your hands.
These grips make the crutches very comfortable and I like how the plush does not cover the whole underside of the handle, this allows you to have a solid grip of the handles whilst not having to endure pain.
I think the product is of a very high quality and the price is reasonable for how good they are, you get what you pay for.

On crutches due to a broken hoof. I was given the standard NHS crutches from the emergency dept. Everyone warned me my hands would get destroyed unless I took preventative action!
Obviously, thinking I was a doublehardb@st@rd I ignored these pearls of wisdom entirely and pressed on. 3 weeks into my 6 week nonweightbearingcrutchsentence my wrists and hands could take no more. I saw this product got all 5star reviews which made me highly sceptical that it was all the company's employees writing them...until they arrived! I feel like I'm cheating now! zero discomfort and for a relatively simple design they stay in place brilliantly.
Black colour helpful as my homemade white crepebandage covers looked truly revolting.

Having been on crutches a number of times before I know the toll it can take on the palms of your hands, even when you are only walking short distances. It isn't uncommon to get sore hands and blisters because the plastic handles on the crutches are so hard. I thought these were quite expensive at first, as usually I just find a sponge tube to adapt but then the problem is they fall off easily. With these you can attach them to the crutches so they stay put, unless you decide to take them off. I have walked up to a mile at a time on my crutches and these have really helped to cushion my hands and have meant I haven't got any blisters. Also after three months of use they haven't worn out. They are very comfortable and I have had a lot of comments from people asking where I got them from. I have also recommended them to others I know who have to use crutches. (Posted on 5/31/2014)

Started to form blisters the day I started using crutches so looked for good, effective crutch grips.
