Flexivity Crutch Grip Pads
Flexivity® Crutch Grip Pads are the most effective and comfortable solution for relieving hand pain caused by standard forearm crutches.
Specifically designed for standard forearm crutches, Flexivity Grips have the following features:
- A plush latex-free Neoprene outer cover – that is very soft to the touch;
- A super soft gel insert – acts as a shock absorber, reducing impact injury to your hands and helping to prevent painful blisters, calluses and pressure sores;
- Hook & loop (Velcro) side straps – that secure the grip to your crutch and adjust to fit different shaped handles;
- Hook & loop (Velcro) end straps – that prevent the grip from accidentally detaching from your crutch while in use, and
- Flexivity grips are very easy to install – installation instruction sheet included.
- Can be hand washed at 30°C.
Flexivity Crutch Grips - Standard Features:
- Ultra thin super soft gel cushion suitable for people with small hands.;
- Cushion area measures 110mm (11cm) in length and suitable for Standard Forearm crutches (we would recommend the SudoGrip Small size for crutch handles under 105mm (10.5cm) in length);
- Not suitable for some anatomical handles (see images).
- Sold in pairs. Crutches not included.

As previously mentioned, it takes a bit of time to put them on - they need to be pulled tight - but they really do help both palms and shoulders. I had a hip replacement last year and it took me a while to get over my sore palms after I stopped using crutches - this time (knee replacement, which is more painful) it is much better thanks to these covers. They do cost more than some of the others (slip on, zip etc), but they move much less. If you can afford them, they are worth the money. Recommended. Had to be on crutches with weight off full leg cast (ankle to thigh) completely for 6 weeks. Am over 60 and after 1 week was really struggling to move at all with the pain and soreness on my palms when using the crutches even over small distance. The difference with the Flexivity grips in my case was amazing. No more sore palms and if I do need to move can do so with a lot more comfort and confidence. I purchased a pair of the Flexivity Crutch Grips as I was suffering from swollen hands from gripping my badly designed crutch handles, which were mighty uncomfortable. My wife spotted them online. Have used many grip pads over the years, but these are the best I have found. Once fitted they do stay in place reasonably well, just occasional slippage. On first use I found the velcro adjustable strapping underneath the handle slightly uncomfortable on my fingers, but once I got moving the grips seemed to "settle" into place and I have had no further issues. When I went out on them I had people ask me where I got them, I even saw a guy who had wrapped flannels around the handles on his crutches, clearly he hadn't googled a solution! I was slightly be-grudging at paying for them, but it made such a difference I would of paid twice as much to avoid the bruised hands that I had before. This crutch grip pad has been a life saviour for me. It has thick padding and is of a very good quality. Have a friend who was on crutches too and she opted a cheaper option to get bike grippers, which were not thick padded and could not take the pressure. I used these once, then got another pair of crutches with ergonomic handles, which these don't fit. However, I gave these pads to my friend and she loves them. She says they have really helped reduce pain and numbness on the palms of her hands. I wish they did these for the ergonomic handles though. Possibly the best thing I've ever bought off amazon I don't know what I would have done for the 4 months I was on crutches without these. Honestly a life saver when it comes to blistered hands. They grip perfectly to the crutches with a rubber non slip bottom to ensure they don't slide off. Feel like a gel material and are very comfortable. Would recommend to anyone on crutches. These were a life saver for me after hip surgery this year. I was on crutches for several months following major surgery and really struggled with sore hands and blisters from the hospital crutches. These were a gift from the gods. They attach quickly and easily, are simple remove for cleaning, don't smell after prolonged use and most of all they protected my hands and made walking and therefore my recovery a lot smoother and more comfortable. I'm unable to put weight on one of my legs for 6 weeks, and after a week or so, apart from what felt like bruising in my hands, it was also looking like I was wearing off my palm print. I'd got some cheap cycling gloves that helped a bit, but they can't be used all day really, and it was first putting weight on hands on crutches in the morning that was worst. These totally fix that problem. Around the flat, they're much more convenient than gloves and my hands no longer hate me first thing in the morning. Over longer distances, I still find my hands tire out, but these take out the jolting and improve shoulders a bit too, and very little chance of blisters. Attaching them is easy, although you really want to get the velcro as tight was possible. They have half slipped off a couple of times, but generally, they stay exactly where they are supposed to. Quality wise, they're not too bad. I'd hope they'll last a good 6 weeks. One thing, I found that they're a few quid cheaper on eBay from the same supplier. If you're having to put your body weight through your hands on NHS crutches, do yourself a favour and get some of these. I would recommend these to anyone having to use crutches for any length of time. Being somewhat overweight, using crutches is awkward, and I found even after two days, I had blisters and callouses starting to form on my hands. After taping jiffy foam to my crutch handles for a couple of weeks, a friend told me about the existence of these gel - grips. I ordered a pair, and how I wished I'd done so immediately. The difference they make to reducing the pressure on your hands whilst using the crutches is amazing. So much more comfortable. They ought to be standard issue on NHS crutches, the handles of which seem to me to be a very poor design. Make sure you order the correct size for your handles as there are different sizes. They fit really easily with Velcro straps, and are fitted in minutes. Well worth the money - even if you're only on crutches for 3 weeks. Fantastic idea. This is just what I needed. Having had a recent operation, I had to be on crutches 6 week non weight bearing. After the first couple of days my hands became very painful through all the pressure on them. I looked into these crutch grips and decided to buy them, best thing I've ever done. Well worth every penny. The gel pads fit very easy and stay in place all the time, the take all the pressure away and are very comfortable. My hands are now pain free. Would recommend . As someone that's been using crutches on/off for about 7yrs or so & tried everything from cycle gloves to cotton wool & everything in between to no avail. Constant rough skin, blisters & sores aren't pleasant. I came across these through sheer chance & wish I'd discovered them much sooner. Perfect snug fit on my crutch handles. After braking my pelvis I was on crutches for the long recover after a few days of using my NHS crutches my hands where getting very sore from putting ally weight on the handles, I had seen many people in the hospital with stuffed socks or bandages wrapped round the handles but they still didn't seem to work all the time so I hunted on the Internet and found these. Easy to attach to handles very secure it was instant relief. 4 months later I'm still using them and the are in great condition still. As a previous reviewer has said I would recommend adults to get the large size as the thickness of the pad is grea. This product has been amazing. I have had two 6 week stints on crutches, the first stint I used the Oarsome grips. These did relieve any serious hand pain, however, they were large and therefore uncomfortable to hold, but the worst thing about the Oarsome grips was the fact that they were just slip ons and had no strap that went around the main crutch pole. This meant that on numerous occasions the grip slipped off the handle and caused me to put all of my weight through my leg which was both painful and distressing. The Fexivity grips on the other hand have been amazing, they aren't as bulky and so they are comfortable to use and I haven't had a twinge of hand pain since using them. Very good product, much better than wrapping bandages around crutch handles. I used with my crutches after knee ligament surgery and suffered no pain in my wrists whereas without I do. These have been so much better than all the other options (which are 1 star in comparison). My son has perthes disease and will be on crutches long term, until we bought these he was getting sore and hardened skin on his palms making walking even a short distance painful! My only small critisism is they slip slightly around the handle out of position, they have to be adjusted daily, but unusually only once a day. Nhs should issue these to any/every crutch user! These are very good. I brought these because my wife was getting pins and needles and numbness in her fingers as she has been on crutches for 4 yrs. When i put these on the fingers have got better. I've been on the standard NHS crutches for nearly 2 months now and let me tell you if you are using them every day for that amount of time they will DESTROY your hands, not to mention your wrists. I wish I had got the SudoGrip's from day one, they are absolutely essentially for using crutches for any prolonged period of time. Fantastic product, worth every penny. As soon as I broke my ankle and landed up on crutches for the first time in my life, I decided to look on Amazon for anything which made life easier. I heard horrible stories about callouses and sore hands and, as I was getting married 4 weeks after my accident, decided I'd try and avoid any other nasty looks (the crutches and sexy moon boot was more than enough for me, in my wedding dress!) So, in come the Sudogrip crutch grips - arriving promptly next day with my amazing Amazon Prime....what amazing things they are! Superb service from this seller. I had an issue with the item which was related to my use of it and not the item itself. The supplier was extremely helpful and resolved this very quickly. Exactly what I wanted! Much easier to use my crutches now, they absorb the impact on my hands very well. I went with medium and they don't quite cover the whole handle, but that's fine as I have smaller hands anyway. Go for large if you want the whole handle covered. I'd tried wrapping pipe lagging around crutches to protect my hands but with no success. These have been fantastic - make a huge difference to my hands and therefore my ability to walk further on crutches. Don't know why these aren't sold in hospitals! I was on crutches for 6 weeks before I bought these crutch grips so my wrists and thumbs were so pained until my grand daughter suggested I put socks on the handles but of course not proper padding. I only wish I got these from the start as they make such a difference. In fact I do think all crutches should come with padded handles as everyone has the same problem but thank god we can buy them. Brought these as soon as i had done 48 hours on crutches after a broken foot. The thought of the six weeks ahead was very daunting. I've been on crutches for a week after fracturing my ankle and am unable to put ANY weight on my right foot. I like to get out and exercise and my hands were killing me. Going to the shops or the baths I had to stop every few minutes to rest and stretch them. I was worried it'd get so bad I'd have to give in and take the bus. These arrived this morning.
